Providing Professional Medical Response and Evacuation where there is none!
The HAC Medical Air Ambulance Service is a professional evacuation service in southern Africa that transports patients who require medical expertise and/or treatment during medical emergencies in an authorized and approved air ambulance. All HAC Medical King Air fixed wing air ambulances are EURAMI certified and meet the international standards for medivac and remote rescue situations. Ground ambulance services are included where necessary.
Our rapid emergency medical response service is strategically positioned to deal with extreme emergencies. Our dedicated medical fleet is unmatched by any competitor in the region, and we are geared to meet the challenges of short fields and remote non-paved runways.
Medivac Services
Southern Africa is blessed with beautiful, unspoilt tracts of pure wilderness which we are proud to share with the world. However, we are not blessed with sufficient, suitable medical facilities in these remote areas. Medical emergencies happen in the unlikeliest of places, and HAC Medical ensures that those who need medical assistance in these remote regions are able to get out, and get to the right facilities: quickly, safely and professionally!

EURAMI Accreditation
HAC Medical is accredited by EURAMI for our King Air Regional Fixed Wing Aero-Medical services with the endorsement for Adult Critical Care. We are part of a very limited group in Africa who have been awarded this accreditation with only just over 50 providers world-wide.
What is EURAMI and why is it so important? The European Aero-Medical Institute is an indicator for excellence, quality and safety in Aero-Medical transportation sector globally. They hold service providers up to a very high standard with regular audits to ensure this standard is maintained. Only the very few companies that have demonstrated excellence in aero-medical operations, safety and quality can be accredited as a EURAMI provider.
Our HAC Medical Services
HAC Medical is the medivac division of Halsted’s Aviation Corporation. We offer a highly professional standard of service for medical evacuation throughout Zimbabwe and the region. Our aircraft and pilots are geared to go where others cannot. We have strategically structured our fleet with intensive care facilities to access those remote areas that are not serviced by normal circuits with either a ground ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing aircraft evacuation to the nearest and most appropriate medical facilities. HAC Medical was the first to introduce HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) in Zimbabwe, and we remain at the top of the field today.

Victoria Falls Operations Base
As part of our extended medical services, our onsite representation based in Victoria Falls is an integral component of our overall Case Management Service. For any family members or friends travelling with a patient, our staff act as a hospital liaison to ensure their needs are met.

The Business Medical Emergency Response Package is tailored to suit the needs of your specific business and its employees and provide them with swift and reliable medical evacuation throughout Zimbabwe by either a ground ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing aircraft to the nearest and most appropriate medical facility. Tourist Package
Our Tourist Emergency Medical Response Package is designed to provide international tourists with swift and reliable medical evacuation throughout Zimbabwe by either a ground ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing aircraft to the nearest and most appropriate hospital. This package provides a shorter duration of cover which is more optimal for tourists and supplements existing travel insurance.

Our experienced medical staff includes specialised flight doctors, flight nurses, ICU nurses and medics who are all highly-trained professionals for emergency medical rescue. The staff also includes specialists in anaesthetics, intensive care, orthopaedics and trauma, paediatrics and surgery as well as physicians for specific cases.
